How to use:
1. Preparing and Filling the Clean Water Tank
Removing the tank: Lift the clean water tank (usually located at the back or side and marked with fill lines) to remove it from the machine.
Filling: Open the tank cover. Fill it with warm water up to the "Water" line, then add the Bissell Formula cleaning solution up to the designated line.
Reinstalling: Close the cover tightly and replace the tank until you hear it click to ensure it is secure and leak-proof.
2. Operating and Selecting the Cleaning Mode (The most important feature of this model)
Preparing the hose: Unscrew the hose and attach the appropriate attachment to the end (such as the tough stain attachment).
Operating: Plug the machine into a power outlet and press the main power button.
Mode Selection (HydroSteam): This model features different cleaning modes. Use the control panel to select the appropriate mode:
SteamWash: The most powerful option for stubborn and greasy stains, combining hot steam, water spray, and solution. (Wait a moment until the steam is ready indicator light illuminates.)
Steam Only Mode: Excellent for refreshing fabrics, sanitizing, or softening dried-in stains before vacuuming.
Wash Only Mode: For regular, everyday cleaning without additional heating.
3. Washing and Stain Removal Methods
Steam Treatment (Spray): Point the tool at the stain and press the trigger (located on the hose handle) to release steam or the cleaning solution. Slowly glide the tool over the stain to allow the steam to break down the dirt.
Scrub: Use the tool's bristles to scrub the area in a circular or back-and-forth motion to deeply clean the fibers.
Quick Vacuum: Release the trigger to stop the spray. Press the tool firmly down on the wet surface and slowly pull towards you to vacuum up water and dirt. Repeat the vacuuming until no more water is being removed to speed up the fabric drying process.
4. Post-Operation and Self-Cleaning
Emptying the Dirty Tank: Monitor the dirty water tank (transparent at the front). Once the water reaches the maximum (FULL) line, stop the machine, empty the tank, and rinse it with clean water.
Cleaning the Hose (HydroRinse Tool): The machine usually comes with a dedicated hose cleaning tool. Attach it and press the trigger; the machine will pump clean water into the hose and suction it out to clean the inside and prevent unpleasant odors. (If the tool is not included, you can suction clean water from an external container.)
Storage: Unplug the machine, wrap the cord and hose in their designated compartments, and ensure the tanks are dry before storing the machine to maintain its condition.
